Presentation: An Ontology-Based Infrastructure To Support Software Process Assessment

On Tuesday 13th May Ayca Tarhan  will give a presentation on Ontology-Based Infrastructure To Support Software Process Assessment in Pav K.16, from 12:30-13:30.

Abstract:

The quality of a software product is highly influenced by the quality of the processes used to develop and maintain it, and due to this fact, several reference models and standards have been developed. On the other hand, processes being used are important assets of an organization, and keeping these processes aligned with the reference models and standards are quite necessary for competing in the software market. This presentation will summarize a work carried out to support this need from process assessment point of view. It will introduce an ontology that was created for a widely-known process reference model called Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, and a tool based on this ontology to support data collecting, data mapping, and conformance querying phases in process assessments.
