Monday, May 11, 12:30-13:30h, we have a research presentation during our monthly cluster meeting in Pav. K16. In the meeting, OML master student Patrick van Beek will present the project he is now performing at Athlon. He is supervised by Mohammad Rasouli and Jos Trienekens. Here’s the abstract of his talk:
Car Leasing companies are an example of companies that are service oriented. They have all kinds of partners doing ‘their work’ (offering services around the car). The car lease company bundles those services and sell it to the customer. However the car lease market is very mature and car lease solutions are seen as commodity.
This research will help Athlon Car Lease to offer something unique for their customer by using the SODSC terminology developed by Mohammad Rasouli. In other words: it will do an analysis of Athlon’s demand and supply chains in the current situation and Athlon’s future vision, both in the context of service orientation. It will do also an exercise on thinking about information quality issues in a service dominant business environment of Athlon, where partners are working together to offer constantly new mobility solutions. Those information quality issues are important for Athlon, so they are ready for it when those issues emerge. And those information quality issues are important for the Information Systems group. The existing literature needs to be updated in the context of our dynamic world today.
